God will be our judge if we are good enough to go to heaven when we die.

Those are good things to do, but they will not get you into heaven. We can't do enough
good deeds to work our way into heaven.
Lets look at it another way... If you were convicted of murder, at sentencing, would the
judge give you a break because of the good deeds you did before the murder? Since God
is a good judge, he can't let our sins go unpunished.
If you died today, based on God's standard, do you think you would go to heaven or hell?
Lets see how you did by using God's law.
- Have you ever told a lie?
- The 9th commandment is, "You shall not lie." If you have told even one lie, that
makes you a liar. According to Revelation 21:8, "All liars will have their place in the
fiery lake of hell."
- Have you ever stolen anything?
- The 8th commandment is "You shall not steal." Have you every stolen anything?
Even if it was something small or long ago. If so, that made you a thief.
- Have you ever been angry with someone?
- The 6th commandment is "You shall not murder." Anyone who hates his brother is a
murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. (1John 3:15) Have you
ever hated anyone or been angry without just cause? If so, that made you a murderer in
your heart.
- Is God #1 in your life?
- The 1st commandment is "You shall have no other gods before Me." Have you put
anything before God?... Friends, family, money, sex, work, TV or something else.
If so, then by God's standard you have made a god in your own image.
- Have you ever used God's name as a cuss word?
- The 3rd commandment is "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God."
By God's standard, if you have misused His name, then you are a blasphemer.
